Viral Marker Testing

QualTex conducts a variety of viral marker testing to include: Anti-HIV ½, Anti-HCV, HBsAg, Anti-HTLV I/II and Anti-HBc. Additionally, we offer ALT, SERUM Protein Electrphoresis, Syphilis, Total Protein, ABO/Rh, CMV, Cholesterol, Antibody screens, and Chagas’ Disease testing. Custom panels are available upon request.

Source Plasma & Whole Blood NAT Testing

QualTex’s NAT laboratory performs the following NAT assays: HIV, HCV, HBV, HAV, West Nile Virus and Parvo B-19. Each assay meets industry standards for whole blood and/or source plasma testing.

Specialized Testing

QualTex performs the following confirmatory assays: HIV-1 Western Blot, HIV-2 EIA, HCV RIBA, HBsAg Neutralization (PRISM), TP-PA (Syphilis Confirmatory). Titers and other assays are performed upon request.

Reference Consultation Services

QualTex performs compatibility testing (ABO & Rh, antibody screen and crossmatch). Consult services such as antibody ID and antibody titers are offered; additionally, red blood cell phenotyping is also available by the following methods: serology and genotyping.

Component QC Testing

QualTex offers factor VIII and Fibrinogen testing for Cryoprecipitate, Fresh Frozen Plasma and recovered Plasma. We also perform white blood cell counts on leuko-reduced products such as red blood cells and apheresis platelets.
